An estimated 185 million gallons of used motor oil is improperly disposed of each year in the U.S. -- dumped on the ground, tossed in the trash or poured down storm sewers and drains. When improperly disposed, the oil from a single oil change can contaminate one million gallons of fresh water.*

At Pennzoil, we’re dedicated to helping clean up engine sludge left behind after use of low quality motor oil and/or poor engine maintenance, so helping keep America’s drinking water clean is an appropriate way for us to make a difference.  The same DIY’ers who take the time to change their own oil to help their engines run clean can help protect millions of gallons of water from being potentially contaminated by improper disposal of used motor oil. By making the Pennzoil Clean Change Pledge, DIY’ers can add their names to the honor roll of those committed to properly disposing of used oil and safely cleaning up their oil change work areas.

Please take some time to test your knowledge in the Pennzoil Clean Change Quiz and join drivers nationwide in making the Pledge.
